A standard home inspection covers what’s visible and accessible — it does not include what’s buried underground. A sewer scope inspection uses a specialized video camera fed through the home’s sewer lateral (the pipe connecting the house to the city main or septic system) to visually assess its condition from the inside.
We proudly serve Indianapolis, Carmel, Westfield, Noblesville, Greenwood, Franklin, Avon, Zionsville, Fishers, and Beech Grove — and the surrounding Central Indiana communities.
Why It Matters for Older Central Indiana Homes
Many homes built before the 1980s in and around Indianapolis were built with clay tile or cast iron sewer laterals. Both materials are prone to cracking, offset joints, bellies (low spots that trap waste), and root intrusion from mature trees — all invisible from inside the house and easy to miss without a camera. A cracked or blocked lateral is one of the more expensive surprises a new homeowner can inherit, and it’s not covered by a standard visual inspection.
